As an experienced fiberglass fabrication company, at CMDT Manufacturing mold making is one of our core strengths. We build high-quality molds with reinforcing features to ensure robust performance over an extended service life. With our expert staff of tooling professionals, molds are created using the most appropriate type of material, and they exhibit a very high caliber of craftsmanship. We have foolproof methods for designing and building fiberglass molds to ensure the highest level of part quality no matter how high the production volume requirements are.

Our tooling designers transform simple sketches or 2D drawings into 3D models of the mold to ensure an accurate build. We can also reverse engineer an exact representation of the part to be made. Along with single and multi-cavity molds for structural foam molding, resin transfer injection molding, and other process types, we build multi-part molds to accommodate large-scale objects. Using an extensive selection of materials and resins, we can create molds for prototype projects as well as production molds that align with various lifecycle requirements.

As a quality-oriented company, we perform dimensional inspections to ensure accuracy and all molds undergo any other type of testing required. We provide full technical support, make repairs and alterations as needed, and record all maintenance activity as part of our tool history documentation. With our production flexibility and focus on customer service, we can complete most molds within a short one-week to two-week time frame, and we offer rush services for time-sensitive projects. As a small business, we have the time to really listen to what our customers are saying and deliver solutions that enhance the quality of their products.
